At DrivAny, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information from users of both the DrivAny Driver App and the DrivAny Customer App. By using any DrivAny services, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information based on your role (Driver or Customer) in the platform.

    For Customers:
  • Name, phone number, email address
  • Profile photo (via camera or file picker)
  • Current location (to find nearby drivers)
  • Device ID (for account management and one-device login enforcement)
    For Drivers:
  • Name, phone number, email address, gender, date of birth, address
  • Profile photo and documents (via camera or file picker)
  • Aadhaar card, driving license, RC book (if registering as taxi/auto driver), police verification certificate
  • Device ID (enforced one-device login)
  • Real-time location (foreground & background) during trips
  • Subscription plan and payment data via Razorpay or PhonePe

2. Permissions We Request

    For Customers:
  • Location (foreground only): To detect your current location and show nearby drivers
  • Camera/File Access: To choose or take a profile photo
  • Device ID: To secure your account and prevent multiple logins.
    For Drivers:
  • Location (foreground & background): Required for real-time trip tracking even when the app is minimized
  • Camera/File Access: To upload license, Aadhaar, and other verification documents
  • Overlay ("Draw over other apps"): To display a floating button so you can return to the app while using navigation (e.g., Google Maps)
  • Device ID: To restrict one active login per device and enhance security

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage user or driver accounts
  • To connect drivers and customers based on location
  • To verify documents for driver onboarding
  • To enable real-time trip tracking and communication
  • To handle driver subscriptions and payments securely
  • To prevent fraud through device-level authentication
  • To provide support, notifications, and safety features (including SOS)

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share information only when necessary:

  • Customer name and phone number are shared with assigned drivers to complete rides
  • Driver documents are used internally for identity verification and legal compliance
  • Payments are handled securely by trusted third-party providers (Razorpay, PhonePe)

5. Data Security

We use encryption and industry-standard security protocols to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute safety.

6. Data Retention

  • We retain your data as long as your account is active or as required by law
  • You can request deletion of your account at any time (see Section 8)

7. Your Rights

    You have the right to:
  • Access or correct your personal data
  • Request account and data deletion
  • Withdraw consent for data use (subject to app limitations)

8. Account Deletion

    You can delete your account using the following method:
  • Log in to the DrivAny app
  • Go to Account > Delete Account
  • Confirm your deletion request

Deletion Timeline:

  • Your account will be marked for deletion and permanently deleted within 30 days
  • If you log in again during that period, the deletion request is canceled
  • After 30 days of inactivity post-request, your data is permanently erased (unless required by law)

Inactivity-Based Deletion:

    If your account is inactive for over 2 years, we will:
  • Notify you before deletion
  • Delete your data if you don't respond

9. Cookies and Analytics

We may use cookies and third-party analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) on our website and app to understand usage patterns and improve the user experience.
